・・PROCESS WORK・・
The project involved designing both a front and back poster for Type Text Talk, a design conference that celebrates typography, visual communication, and contemporary design practices. The challenge was to create an engaging poster that clearly conveyed important information and appealed to an audience of designers.
The poster uses a bold and bright color palette to evoke energy and grab attention. High-contrast colors help differentiate key information and guide the viewer’s eye across the layout. Photographs of well-known designers were incorporated to celebrate the conference speakers and add a human, relatable element to the design. A visible grid system structures both the front and back, providing consistency and clarity while allowing flexibility in arranging images, text, and other visual elements. Type selection was specific emphasizing a modern and professional tone for the conference, and balancing excellent readability with expressive headline treatments. The hierarchy of the information ensures that the essential information, includes the date, the venue, and the featured speakers, is recognized first, while the supporting content/image supports the overall story.
The final front and back poster successfully captures the spirit of Type Text Talk, providing a visually engaging, clear, and memorable representation of the event. It balances bold visual expression with functional communication, ensuring that viewers are both drawn in and informed.
